My name is Starr Hardgrove and I'm an actor currently living in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I was born in Seminole, Oklahoma to Joyce Hardgrove and Micheal Hardgrove. Dad moved out early and was mostly raised by my mother. As a child, I excelled in artistic efforts from theatre to mime. Always a physical child, I played many sports including Soccer and Basketball. We moved to Shawnee in the 6th grade, and I played alto saxophone in the band and basketball for 6 years with the Liberty Eagles of Shawnee, Oklahoma at the private baptist school, Liberty Academy. I was accpeted to Oklahoma State University but left after one year to attend Tulsa Community College. There I picked up the habit of appearing in shows as an actor and doing tech theatre for a job. Continued that work at Southeastern Oklahoma State University under a scholarship with the acting school there and graduated with a BA in Theatre/Communications. After that, was accepted to the University of Arkansas in their Acting program and finished 3 years of coursework with them, never receiving the MFA in Acting.
After college, I was hired to be the Sapula Community Theatre manager and started my own theatre company, "The Actors Company of Tulsa" Worked off and on with various companies in the city and enjoyed my time in Tulsa theatre from 2005-2015. That final year saw me moving to Chicago and working with Strawdog Theatre Company on two productions with them including Kill Shakespeare. Moved back to Oklahoma City after for the birth of my first daughter, Madeline Hardgrove and lived and worked in the area, launching Valkyrie Theatre Company with several friends. Got an opportunity to be a Theatre Teacher/Performing Arts Center Director at Marion High School in Marion, Arkansas. Moved there and had my second daughter, Emily. Was divorced from Bonny Hardgrove (Wicks) in 2018 and moved back to Tulsa where I currently reside and work for ConsumerAffairs. My side projects currently include being a community actor for various productions in Tulsa, being a dad, and launching Nightmare SIdeshow Productions, coming soon.
